Red lips from orangey shades to bright to dark is a trend that hit the runways for Fall/Winter 2011. However, its still hot even to this time. Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Katy Perry are only a few of the celebrities who rock dark vampy lips.
Now locally here in the Phillie, rainy season has just hit the country and there are no more days the sun would hit the land. It has already been raining for more than a month now. The atmosphere is cold, wet and gloomy. And with that, I wanted to rock dark vampy lips.
Excuse my blurry photo. My iphone was out of focus. Haha.
Sleek Makeup's True Colour Lipstick in Cherry is my choice. I wanted something darker and deeper than this but this still works great with my skin tone.
A superb highly-pigmented lipstick enriched with Vitamin E which leaves amazingly rich shades on the lips with only a single coat. Can be applied using a lip brush for a professional finish. 3.5g Cost: USD6.49
Photo taken from their website. The shades and colour in the website is not actually the color you get. Or maybe, it varies on your computer's monitor. The lipstick appeared like this on the website but when I got it, the actual lippie was brighter and not that close to the shade in the site.
Actual photo of mine.
Sleek Makeup True Colour Lipsticks are encased in a matte oval black casing. They are shorter and chubbier than NYX Round Lipsticks.
The shade is Cherry 790 and it's sheen.
Look at that rich deep red cherry color.
Me wearing it. Instagram filter altered the colour though and made it appear deep fuschia but its not.
This Sleek Makeup True Colour Lipstick in Cherry is fabulous. I am so loving it. It is creamy, super duper pigmented, and lasts long. One application lasted me 5-6 hours (no retouch). It doesn't smudge that much when applied correctly. It is not drying to the lips. It is buildable. The shade gets deeper and darker the more you layer the coats. It also leaves a slight tint when you wipe it off with a tissue.
I went to a Beauty Shop to have my hair treated and I wore this Cherry lipstick. I stayed there from 8am to 1pm. (Hair rebonding is 5-6 hours and my hair is really long.) The lipstick lasted the whole time and I never even retouched it. Anna the hairstylist and her assistant noticed and complemented it. They asked what it is and I showed them. They even tried it and they loved it. haha! I also like the packaging. It doesn't look cheap at all.It has a unique oval shape, something that is different from other ordinary lipsticks that are round.
This is only going to be my first Sleek Makeup Lipstick. I will be getting the other shades soon.
Have you tried Sleek Makeup True COlour Lipstick? What shade do you have? What would you recommend?
