Makeup Academy Bronzed Perfection Bronzer Swatches and Review

I can never get enough MUA products. Here's one of my most reached daily product and it's the LARGEST bronzer plate I've seen and tried so far- Makeup Academy Bronzed Perfection Bronzer. Wanna know the size? Read more.

Bronzed Perfection is lightly frosted, tinted powder that gives skin sheer, natural colour effects and highlight. Ideal for enhancing skin tones or to accent or strengthen a tan and is perfect sculpting your face to perfection! Formulated to provide a smooth, even application for all skin types.

Top tips on how to apply: ·
  • Choose a wide, fluffy powder brush with a rounded top. If it's too small and stiff, it will give blotchy results. If you are going to spend money on a brush, choose sable. Generally natural fibres are best. ·
  • Swirl the brush evenly in the large bronzer. A little is all that's needed. To ensure an even application, tap off any excess bronzer. You can also rub the brush in to a clean tissue to get rid of any excess ·
  • Apply bronzer to the areas of the face the sun would naturally hit. Using very light strokes, first apply the bronzer to the top of the forehead, working down the nose and along the cheeks. Build up the colour gradually, so you get exactly the shade you want. You could also try applying a small amount to the chin.

Now on the products description, as I have introduced, it is the largest bronzer I have tried. It is just the size of saucer or even larger. Just look at the photo below with me gripping it. It's 15g and costs GBP3 from the MUA website. It says on the back: Dust all over face and body to be bronzed to perfection, or use to sculpt by highlighting brow, cheeks and collar bone.

As MUA claimed, it is slightly frosted with tiny gold shimmer particles. It is sheer and silky, and very blendable. It's only available with 1 shade and I find it 1-2 shades darker than my skintone. I'm a bit fair and it just shows up nicely and not overdone or lightly.

Here are before and after shot with the bronzer. It doesn't show up in photos because the flash of my camera washed it off but if you compare it with the before, you can see the difference.

What do I say
As mentioned, this is one of my daily products and I love it. Luckily, the shade is just right for me. It's not too shimmery nor matte but a little bit sheen and silky and give a slight glow and warmth to the skin. The shade is just perfect for me if I want a sunkissed or bronzed look and I won't look muddy or dirty.

This may be compatible for light and fair skinned people for contouring and sculpting. However, this may not show up in deep skin toned and can be used as a setting powder instead.
Because the consistency is soft and very blendable, you may find this easy to break and crash so careful not to drop it.
