Women 3.0 Women Entrepreneurs Online
With Google Business Group Baguio's advocacy to help business using online technology, Women 3.0 was held on August 6, 2013 at Azalea Residences, Baguio City with another purpose to empower women entrepreneurs online. Read more for the news.
Organized by GBG Baguio partnered with several sponsors, the event was successfully held with over 90 attendants. 10 speakers were invited to provide inspirational talks, tips and lectures on establishing a successful business.
The first of them was Atty. Alexander Bangsoy, proprietor of Goshenland, who shared an encouraging and inspiring story by relating his life. Coming from a poor family or background should not be hinder to your dreams and success. He says, "Start." You won't go anywhere unless you start. A country's progress does not rely on the government nor politicians but rather from small and large businesses.

One the highlights of the morning session was a lecture on Advertising and Marketing Your Brand by Divina Gracia, He-Brews co-owner. She pointed out the elements needed in establishing a successful business. She also gave a list of what your product's brand should attribute. She said to always keep in mind "The customer is first, last and always! And that is the essence of business.
Time is trully essential and Ms. Aileen Apollo- de Jesus, Regional Lead - SouthEast Asia, Google Outreach Program, shared time management tips like knowing your priorities; organizing your communication points; identifying tasks and schedules.
As hotels and resorts are one of the potential kind of businesses to invest to, Elisa Escobar, Azalea Hotels and Residences Manager, Enable Hospitality, Inc shared the secrets to running a hotel and it's challenges. She quoted "it takes 12 positive service incidents to make up for 1 negative incident and 68% of customers quit an establishment because of bad customer service."
With the internet technology, you can already start a business with little or even zero capital. Thus, establishing a good reputation online was discussed by Chelle Gray, a mom/entrepreneur/community developer.
Other topics deliberated were google apps that can be used for a work and at home (by Jerome Locson); Why Presence in the Web is necessary for your Brand (by Maricar Dabao of Viaje Negrense); Google Search for Moms (by Carizza Celine Barrozo); Why should we go Google with Businesses and School (by Aris Go, Berkeley School); Winning the Game of Business (by Dr. Leonarda R Aguinalde of the University of the Cordilleras) and lastly an inspiring story how Inglay Restaurant became a success (by Atty. Inglay Fokno, Inglay Restaurant).
