Homemade DIY Eye Makeup Remover
Don't you hate it when the most consumed products are the expensive ones? One is makeup removers where the cheapest brand I saw was more than a hundred pesos for 120 ml. Don't you find it a waste of money to spend on something you just throw away when water is almost free? Save those pennies and head on to your kitchen and bathroom and mix your own makeup remover formula.
You can find all the ingredients from your own bathroom and kitchen. All you need are water (the main ingredient), baby shampoo and olive oil! And an empty plastic bottle container. Are they hard to find? Of course, not at all.
Water is almost free (almost because rain doesn't cost any but we pay our water bills). Water is the great solvent and it is the main ingredient for our homemade makeup remover. Baby shampoo is preferred because its mild and gentle and doesn't cause stinging sensation to the eyes. Olive oil is a wonder oil as we all know. This will make our makeup remover formula effective. Since it's oil, it will dilute creamy and oil based eye makeup easily. It will also moisturize our eye area and prevent wrinkles and condition the lashes. These are only a few of the many benefits we can get from this wonder oil.
In my case, I have an empty bottle that can contain up to 150 ml. I filled it with about 125 ml water to give space for the olive oil and baby shampoo. I added a tablespoon of shampoo and half tablespoon of olive oil then just shook the bottle to mix them all. And that's it! That's how you make your own makeup remover.
Here's a quick smokey eye makeup I did I used to test the makeup remover.
And here's the result.
Easy steps to remove it:
1. With your soaked cotton pad, press it on your eye area for a few seconds.
2. Then swipe the makeup off.
3. Just look at all the junk removed!
4. Continue cleaning with the other side of the pad and voila! Squeaky clean eyes!
I am so surprised on how I made my own makeup remover formula. It instantly removes the makeup without me rubbing too hard and irritating my lids. I don't have to use my facial wash to really wash off the eyeliner and mascara and get my eye sting with the lather. This smells good as well and doesn't feel greasy at all! I love it!
You can watch the video here to see me prepare my formula and the demonstration as proof how effective this is.
Give this a try and save some money. Then comment down below how'd it went.
