Quick Daily Makeup Routine

Are you a student? A working mom? Or just some one who goes out everyday and wants to look good. However, have so little time to glam up your look? Well, I would like to show you my quick daily/everyday makeup routine. I just used minimal products but with a fresh face result.

Well groomed brows, nude eyes, glowy peachy cheeks and pink lips for warmth.
It's all about natural nude eyes. We don't want a heavy dramatic eye makeup in the day. Besides, we're going to school/work, not to a club. And to counteract the softness of the eyes, I have used a subtle pink lip color.

Jessie J at Justin Bieber's UK Premiere of Never Say Never Inspired Makeup Look

Pale skin with no contour or blush. Silver and blacks on eyes. And hot matte pink on lips. That's the look Jessie J wore when she went to see Justin Bieber's Never Say Never UK Premiere. And with that, I have made my own version of it, with the eyes less intense.

My version of her look.

Inspirational photo I took from google.

Jessica Sanchez American Idol Top 4 Performance Inspired Hairstyle

Yay for Jessica in American Idol! A Super duper amazing young singer with a big voice she can sing anything.

Inspired from her Top 4 Performance in American Idol, with her singing "Steal Away" by Etta James and "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" by Jennifer Holiday where she got another standing ovation from the judges and audience, I recreated her hairstyle. It was a lot of curls with her front hair and fringes tied in tiny loops.

Here is my final look with Jessica's photo insert I took from Google images.

I know the curls are not similar because the iron I had was too big to create small curls. It was even with a clip on it, not the clip less one. I had to improvise because I did not have the right tool to achieve the exact kind of curl Jessica had. However, the result is not bad. (by the way, like the makeup I am wearing here? It is inspired from a gorgeous local supermodel/celebrity.Like it? CLICK ME to see the video.

Sleek Makeup i-Divine EyeShdaow Palette in Original Swatches and Review

Description from sleekmakeup.com:

The Original i-Divine palette contains a variety of highly-pigmented colours, ranging from green to purple, allowing you to create endless looks fit for day or night.

The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect. Each of the 12 shades can be applied alone for a dramatic effect or mixed to create a personalised look.

Best applied with the applicator enclosed.

We've recently given our i-Divines a makeover! The outer packaging has been updated and the way the eye shadows are pressed are different. They are now pressed flat instead of the original waffle print.

Swatches for each shade.

All eye shadows have a sort of creamy consistency and they're all shimmery. I think this palette is great for night outs and clubbing makeup looks with all the shimmery effects. I would use these palette for daytime but mix and match it with matte ones as a shimmery eye would be overwhelming during the day.

I like how each shadows have a sort of satin/silky finish. Very pretty.
These are also highly pigmented so you would want to start with a tiny amount and build your way to intensify the shade. Also, you might not need a primer as these ones really pack on the lids better than ordinary matte shadows. Because it has a creamy consistency, it will stick on the skin just fine.

Watch out for a tutorial soon using this palette.

No Heat Big Hot Messy Curls

Big messy or large curls are sexy and gorgeous. I won't deny it is my favorite hairstyle. And you can easily achieve them with hair appliances like curling irons and hot rollers.

However, hot tools like these are damaging to the hair when always used. They can make our hair dry and brittle thus, prone to breakage. And we don't want that.

But, we can still give our hair a break from these damaging appliances without taking a day off from beautiful curls. How?

with SPONGE BALL CURLERS!

As the name implies, these are cushion-y sponge balls purposely designed to curl hair. There is absolutely no heat needed to make those curls.

These are just sponge balls with slits in the middle where you will wrap your hair around it and the side will keep it in place.

The mechanism is the same with rollers where you wrap your hair around it.

It is soft you can sleep and wait overnight with it and your curls will form when you wake up!

 THUMBS UP TO THIS BECAUSE:
They are not damaging to hair as compared to hot curling irons and rollers. No heat is required.
Economical. No power energy needed. Less electric bill rate.
Easy to use. Just wrap your hair around it and wait.
They are soft you can sleep with them on.
The price is so affordable.

Only one thing I don't like about it is that strands of hair could easily get tangled together and on the ball sometimes its hard to unwrap the curl. Or I don't know, maybe just the way i wrapped my hair around them that gave me a hard time to remove them.

You can watch the video below to know how to use these balls and see the results:

The Super GORGEOUS result!

Sleek Makeup i-Divine EyeShadow Palette in Acid Swatches and Review

Description from Sleekmakeup.com:

The Acid i-Divine Palette contains a fusion of vibrant colours for the more daring, with bright pinks to luminous greens amongst the 12 highly-pigmented pressed mineral-based eyeshadow shades.  This palette combines matte and shimmer formulations with neon and complimentary shades that keep their vibrancy on all skin tones.

The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect. Each shade can be applied alone for a dramatic effect or mixed to create a personalised look.

Best applied with the applicator enclosed.

We've recently given our i-Divines a makeover! The outer packaging has been updated and the way the eye shadows are pressed are different. They are now pressed flat instead of the original waffle print.

Swatches with flash.

What I like about it:
Perfect for everyday makeup, and can be used for dramatic looks as well.
Very pigmented, a little goes a long way.
Slim and light packaging.
With a clear wide mirror and dual sponge tip applicator which is great for smudging.
Quite affordable because it was bought straight from the Uk (which is 6GBP or 453Php) compared with the prices locally in Php (ranges from 600-850Php).
Also a practical dupe/alternative for the very expensive Urban Decay Naked Palette.
The shades are just right for daily make up to smokey night out looks. The peach, light browns, and plums can be mixed and matched to create different subtle neutral looks to sexy dramatic eyes.
Acid Palette contains the gorgeous bright shades that can be used for creative and fantasy makeups.

What I don't like:
I wish they filled the pans generously. You can see that each pans were not filled that much. You can tell that each pan contains about 1/2 to 3/4 of what it can fill.

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in Lace Swatches and Review

My first Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in Lace.
Like pretty peach colors? I do, too!
Here's one of the best sellers from sleek,
Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in Lace.

Description from Sleekmakeup.com:

Blush by 3 is a trio shade blush palette that takes you effortlessly from day to night!  Each palette has 3 ultra pigmented shades to choose from in matte and shimmer shades. Use the matte shades for a subtle day time flush, and add the shimmery shade over the top for a touch of night time glamour! With 5 different shaded palettes to choose from , your only dilemma is which one to pick! Choose from Pink Sprint, Pumpkin, Lace, Flame, or Sugar.
Wt: 20g

Three different shades of peach in one. I love peaches and it matches my skin tone better so I got this one. Probably will be getting the other shades soon.
Sleek packaging. Size fits just right in a palm. The case is a matte black which appears high end. Come with a wide clear mirror.

Below is a closer look of the shades. From the left is called Crochet, a matte orange-y shade. The middle shade is called Guipure and it's a shimmery peachy tangerin-y shade. The last one is also a matte reddish peach.

Swatches on my arm with flash. I don't usually use them as single blushes but rather, I mix a couple to all shades and use as one blusher. For me, it's a perfect shade for brides. It's not too strong but rather gentle and demure. A must quality for bridal makeup.

CONCLUSION:

I love this! They are very well pigmented. A little goes a long way. Also, they don't fade away that fast. They just stay right there until the day is over. My favourite among the three is the one in the middle. The shimmery peachy pink shade. I usually combine 2 or all shades. This is currently my favourite blush and most common used one for my brides. I will purchasing the other shades soon, as well as the single blushers.

I purchased it for USD15.99 from http://www.sleekmakeup.com and will definitely purchase the other shades in the future.

What about you? What's your favorite blusher?

ELF Brightening Eye Colour Eyeshadow in SIlver Lining Smokey Eye Make up Look

Here's how I create a smokey eye makeup look using ELF's Brightening eye color in silver lining. A smokey look I would bravely wear in the day time and can be a pretty night out makeup look as well. All four shades in the quad palette will be used. I will number each of them as a guide on what shades are applied on each steps. Enjoy!

ELF's Brightening Eye Color in Silver Lining.
(Photo taken from eyeslipsface.co.uk)

Step 1: ELF Studio eye primer all over the lid. This will help the eye shadows stay put on the lids and make the colors pop better.

Step 2: Take the light pink shade (#4) with a brush and apply all over lid except the brow bone.

Step 3: With the same brush, take the dark blue shade (#2) and pop it only on the outer half of the lid.

Step 4: Then apply the same blue shade on the outer half of the lower lid.

Step 5: Now, dip your round tipped brush into the black shade (#3) and concentrate applying and blending it only on the outer corners. Carefully blend in circular motion not covering the entire blue shade.

Step 6: Apply the black shadow on the outer half of the lower lid as well.

Step 7: With a bigger eye shadow brush, take the white shade (#1) and apply it all over the brow bone as highlight and blend out all the harsh edges of the first colors we applied.

Step 8: Line your upper and lower lash line with a black eye pencil.

Step 9: Smudge out the liner add smokiness to the look.

Step 10: Add false lashes for a dramatic effect.

Step 11: And we're done!

Products used:

ELF Brightening eye color in Silver lining (purchased from eyeslipsface.co.uk)
Elf Studio Eye primer (purchased from eyeslipsface.co.uk)
Red Herring black pencil eye liner (a gift from UK)
False lashes in #0 (from pc-link.biz)
8pcs pink brush set (purchased from Beauty Cosmetics)

Hope you enjoyed!

Sleek Makeup Paint Pout in Minx and Pin up Swatches and Review

Description from sleekmakeup.com:

Pout paint is the new ultimate lip pigment that provides a blast of colour in one purse sized tube! The intensely saturated formula provides outstanding colour pay-off in just one tiny speck, and dries to a long lasting satiny finish. With a wide variety of Pout Paints to choose from you can mix up your very own unique shade using a combination of colours, or simply go for one stand out striking pop of colour.
To create your own personal shade, experiment by adding a touch of Peek-a-bloo, a unique blue tone to add depth and warmth to any lip colour. Or mix in a hint of Cloud 9, a pure white to lighten the load. Create the lip shade you’ve always wanted with Pout Paints!
Cost: USD8
Absolutely one of my great buys! Sleek makeup never fails me, so far. I have bought PIN UP and MINX. The red one is PIN UP and the pinky nude is MINX. They may appear large in photos and I have imagined they will be like that maybe like a small tube of toothpaste but, unfortunately not. I was surprised when I got them they were the size/length of a regular lipstick. I thought they were much bigger.

Here are the swatches. Left in PIN UP and right is MINX.

                                                         Pin Up on actual lips.

                                                       Minx on actual lips.

Pin up + a little bit of minx equals this shade. Pretty huh?!

 CONCLUSION:
I absolutely love love love these lip paints.
The consistency is thick and very creamy.
Blends easily but does not bleed.
Dries just right it does not smudge easily nor becomes matte.
Highly pigmented, a little goes a long way.
So you would only need a tiny tiny tiny bit to cover the entire lips.
It has a sweet fruity like smell too.
Can be mixed with other shades to create different colors.
Also, it lasts for hours! I tried applying them on before breakfast, I had breakfast then came lunch time they were still there! Faded a little bit but does not need a touch up.
A little pricey for me but it's reasonable.
I will definitely purchase the other shades soon.
